For in-depth holistic medical and developmental evaluations, Dr. Cowan sees patients at his office in Westchester

Dr. Cowan's approach is centered on exploring each unique child within the context of his or her life, so as to treat the root, and not just presenting symptoms.

The first appointment is scheduled for 90 minutes-2 hours to allow time for an in-depth discussion of your child. Dr. Cowan prefers this first appointment to be with the parents only, in order to allow you to speak freely without impacting your child's feelings. Dr. Cowan will listen to your concerns and collect information about your child's physical and emotional history to gain a sense of the broader perspective of your child's life.

At the second appointment Dr. Cowan will meet with your child to assess physical and developmental functioning. Dr. Cowan will discuss next steps and treatment options. Subsequent follow-up appointments are usually 1 hour. Pediatric acupuncture and meditation sessions are generally scheduled as 30 minute appointments.

Dr. Cowan does not accept insurance but will give you a receipt with diagnostic and procedure codes that you can submit to your insurance company.

Dr. Cowan reserves time just for your child. As such, if you need to cancel your appointment, we require at least 3 business days advance notification. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged in full.
